BLS AND ILS TRAINING WE OFFER

Basic Life Support (BLS)

About four hours (half a day). Adult, child and infant CPR, using a defibrillator, the recovery position, choking and simple airway management. Ideal as your team's annual update.

Immediate Life Support (ILS)

A full day. Builds on BLS with the ABCDE approach, spotting a patient who is getting worse, airway management and working together as a team during a resuscitation.

CPR & AED Training

Plenty of hands-on practice on manikins and a training defibrillator, so your staff know exactly what to do in the first few minutes of a cardiac arrest.

Airway Management Training

Opening and protecting an airway, and using equipment such as pocket masks and bag-valve-masks. More advanced airway skills are covered on the ILS course.

Medical Emergency Response

Recognising and dealing with the emergencies your team is most likely to meet, such as anaphylaxis, asthma attacks, epileptic seizures, chest pain, fainting and low blood sugar.

On-Site Team Training

I come to your practice or workplace and train the whole team together, using your own equipment where possible, so everyone knows where the kit is and what their role is.

BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS) & IMMEDIATE LIFE SUPPORT (ILS)

Our BLS and ILS courses are built around the essential first aid and life-saving skills needed in real medical emergencies. Ideal for healthcare professionals, dental teams, care staff, and other patient-facing roles, this training helps you respond calmly and correctly to incidents such as collapse, cardiac arrest, choking, breathing difficulties, and sudden patient deterioration. Each course is designed to improve practical ability, strengthen decision-making, and give you greater confidence in emergency situations.

BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS)

Our Basic Life Support training focuses on the core emergency first aid skills needed to preserve life until further medical help is available. This includes adult and child CPR, safe use of an AED, recovery position guidance, and simple airway management. It is ideal for professionals who may need to act quickly during a medical incident and want to feel more prepared, confident, and capable when every second counts.

IMMEDIATE LIFE SUPPORT (ILS)

Immediate Life Support takes emergency first aid training further, giving professionals the skills to assess, manage, and respond to more serious clinical emergencies. Alongside all core BLS skills, this course covers the ABCDE approach, recognising deteriorating patients, responding to medical emergencies, and supporting team-based care during resuscitation scenarios. It is ideal for clinical settings where a more structured and advanced emergency response may be needed.

PREFER TO START ONLINE?

If your team can’t all get away at the same time, you can do the theory online first and book a shorter practical session with us afterwards. The online courses are video based, work on a phone, tablet or computer, and end with a test and a certificate.

Online courses are sold and certificated by ProTrainings, who add VAT at checkout. Our in-person training has no VAT to add.

These are online courses delivered by ProTrainings, who take payment and issue the certificate.

Add the hands-on part with us. Watching CPR on a screen isn’t the same as doing it. Once your team has done the online theory, I can come to your practice or workplace and run a practical session on manikins and a training defib, so everyone leaves having actually done it. For dental teams, ProTrainings say the Dental BLS course only meets the GDC’s development outcome C once a short practical has been completed.

WHY CHOOSE OUR BLS AND ILS COURSES?

Our courses are designed for professionals who need more than just a certificate. We focus on practical, hands-on training that helps learners respond effectively in genuine emergency situations, while also supporting professional standards and annual training requirements.
