FAQ
WHICH FIRST AID COURSE DO I NEED FOR MY WORKPLACE?
It depends on your first aid needs assessment. Lower-risk workplaces often need a 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work course, while higher-risk or larger workplaces usually need the 3-day First Aid at Work course. If you’re not sure, call us and we’ll help you work it out.
HOW LONG IS A FIRST AID AT WORK CERTIFICATE VALID FOR?
Three years. First Aid at Work holders can take the 2-day requalification course before their certificate runs out, and Emergency First Aid at Work holders retake the 1-day course. A short annual refresher is recommended in between.
CAN YOU TRAIN OUR STAFF AT OUR WORKPLACE?
Yes. We run on-site courses for businesses across Milton Keynes, Oxfordshire, Leicestershire, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire, for up to 12 people per course. Training on site saves travel time and lets us use real examples from your workplace.
DO YOU OFFER MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID?
Yes. We offer a half-day Mental Health Awareness course, a 1-day Level 2 Mental Health First Aid course and a 2-day Level 3 course for people who will act as a mental health first aider at work.
CAN ANY OF YOUR COURSES BE DONE ONLINE?
Yes. Many awareness and refresher courses can be done online at your own pace, and some qualifications can be taken as blended learning, with the theory online and a shorter practical session with us. See our Online Courses page.
HOW MUCH DOES ON-SITE TRAINING COST?
Emergency First Aid at Work at your workplace starts from £650 for a group of up to 6, then £90 for each extra person, up to 12. You’ll find prices for all our on-site courses in the price list above. Travel is included within 60 miles of Milton Keynes.
WHAT ROOM DO YOU NEED FOR ON-SITE TRAINING?
A room with enough clear floor space for everyone to kneel down and practise CPR on a manikin, plus a chair and some table space for each learner. A meeting room or staff room with the tables pushed back is usually perfect. We bring all the equipment.
WHAT IF WE NEED TO CHANGE OR CANCEL?
With 14 days’ notice or more, you can move your course or cancel with a full refund. Between 7 and 13 days, you can move it once free of charge, or cancel for 50% of the fee. With less than 7 days’ notice the full fee is due, although we’ll always try to find another date. If someone can’t make it, you can send a colleague in their place at no extra charge.
